Recent appearances include directing SMAM at Maison Symphonique as part of the Montréal Bach Festival and at Salle Bourgie as part of their complete performance of Bach Cantatas. He has already toured three SMAM programs around Eastern Canada and Ontario: Music from the Sistine Chapel, The Colours of Orlando and Terra Tremuit.
Since moving to Canada in 2013, Andrew has worked with a range of professional choirs and orchestras including Ensemble Caprice, Chamber Players of Canada, Elora Festival Singers, Choeur Louisbourg, and La rose de vents. He has also directed concerts at leading Canadian festivals including Chamberfest Ottawa, Music and Beyond, Elora Festival, Festival international de Lanaudière, Festival Montréal Baroque, Festival Orford, Indian River Festival, Moments Musicaux, Music Niagara, Musique Royale, and the Westben Arts Festival.
Andrew is co-director of Sing Ottawa en choeur, the official choral celebration of 150 years of confederation taking place June 2017, and will direct first complete modern performance of William Boyce’s Birthday Ode for the King, Prepare, prepare your songs as part of the Montreal 375 celebration in October 2017.
With an extensive and constantly expanding knowledge of choral repertoire encompassing the whole international choral oeuvre, Andrew is familiar with a wide range of styles, always working to get the best possible performance from singers of all abilities.
